Today we took a break from playgrounds and explored the incredible, other-worldly beauty of Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park. We walked in red mud that felt cool and soft under our feet. We looked up at rock giants waiting patiently for the tide to come back in. We made footprints that we knew would be washed away once the tide came back, and there was something humbling about that. Travelogue: Day 4
Two provinces, a ferry, two skate parks, and 480km on the road today! We woke up early in beautiful La Malbaie, Québec. Early is the key word here; we'd heard that the ferry ride from Saint-Siméon to Rivière-du-Loup was best in the morning, when seals and whales might be spotted as you make your way across the St. Lawrence. Today started with some big excitement; we picked up our new vehicle for the drive to PEI. Thanks to the generous folks at Hyundai Canada, we were set to take the next leg of our trip in a new IONIQ 9.
