Day 2 took us from Ottawa to Montreal - not a huge distance, but we packed in some fantastic play!

We'd barely hit the road before stopping at an epic playground in Orléans, just east of Ottawa. Millennium Park had strong theming, with countless pirate elements including a large pirate-ship play structure and splash pad.

But the highlight was an enormous castle structure featuring two huge slides, multiple levels, and probably more square footage than my house.

Our son love the many soccer fields that surround the playground; likely the site of many community leagues all summer long.

Our next stop took us well into Franco-Ontario, and the town of Rockland.

Parc Simon, while nowhere near as epic as Millennium Park, was a cozy place for us to stretch our legs, and included a nice little skate park. We then had luch at a family diner called Benny's that featured "breakfast poutine" and the nicest waitress in the world.

From there we drove into La Belle Province, arriving in Montreal just in time to catch a Cirque Show and wander through the old port before running from the rain and collapsing in bed.

Before you go...if you believe in the power of play (and if you're here you probably do) please consider donating to our cross-Canada road trip by clicking here. It would mean a lot!
